TOPIC: " ETERNAL SALVATION"

QUESTION: CAN A PERSON KNOW HE IS SAVED AND NOT EVER LOSE HIS SALVATION?

THOUGHT: IF WE FIND OUT IN THE SCRIPTURES WHAT SALVATION IS, WE WILL FIND ETERNAL SALVATION FOR THE BELIEVERS.

I. Can we know we are saved?

A. II Timothy 1:9 "HATH" SAVED

B. I Corinthians 1:18 "ARE" SAVED

C. Romans 5:9 "SHALL BE" SAVED

NOTE: Salvations in Romans 5:9 is through Christ.

II. What are we saved from?

A. Romans 5:9 The Wrath to come

B. Romans 8:1 Condemnation

C. II Corinthians 1:9-10 Death

NOTE: The payment for sin is death - Romans 6:23, The gift we can receive is the salvation from death-I Corinthians 15:54-57

III. How was eternal salvation accomplished?

A. II Corinthians 5:21 God made Christ to be sin for us.

B. I Corinthians 15:1-4 Christ died for our sins.

C. Romans 6:9 Christ dieth no more

NOTE: If death hath no more dominion over Christ-Romans. 6:9, The believer must know his old man is crucified-Romans 6:6, And the believer is to reckon himself to be dead-Romans 6:11, And alive unto God eternally through Christ-Romans 6:11.

IV. Eternal salvation is based on God's mercy to sinners.

VI. WHAT MUST A PERSON DO TO BE SAVED ETERNAL?

B. Ephesians 1:13 TRUST GOD TO HAVE SAVED YOU BY THE CROSS OF CHRIST

C. Ephesians 2:8-9 RECEIVE THE GIFT OF SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

D. Romans 4:4-5 QUIT TRYING TO WORK FOR SALVATION AND RECEIVE IT FROM GOD WHO IS THE JUSTIFIER OF LIFE Romans 5:17-18

TRUST CHRIST TO HAVE DIED FOR ALL OF YOU SINS AND THAT YOUR ETERNAL SALVATION IS IN CHRIST SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD-Ephesians 2:5-6
